15th November, 2006 Hi and welcome to e-flash. This week we highlight a range of Training Dummies for use in a variety of Industrial Rescue Training scenarios. These training aids can improve the effectiveness of Rescue Training by providing realistic accident victims to better simulate real emergencies. Our thoughts are with the 11 miners from BHP Billiton's Gregory Mine who were taken to hospital after an incident over the weekend reportedly involving chemicals used in mine rescue breathing equipment. Hazardous Materials Rescue Training Dummy The Hazmat Training Dummy is designed for Rescue Training where victims have been exposed to hazardous materials including incidents involving chemical spillage, or being exposed to water during storm drain and cave rescue training.The Hazmat Training Dummy has an outer carcass of tough nylon reinforced PVC which can withstand being heavily doused in water during a chemical spillage exercise or lying in water during a storm water drain or cave rescue - in fact, any scenario where the dummy has to endure a constantly wet environment. |
